The Quartz Beaches of the West Coast

The destination is the Seu Oasis, also known as the Turtle Oasis. We will park the car in Funtana Meiga, in the heart of Sinis. This location hides an ancient water spring beneath the sea (Funtana Meiga means "healing fountain" in Sardinian).
The water still flows in an underground river, visible only by donning a mask and snorkeling about 400 meters from the shore. The sea has covered a thousands-of-years-old Nuragic temple where the indigenous populations worshiped water as a symbol of fertility.
We will walk along the coast, passing white beaches, and venture into the oasis, rich with Mediterranean scents. Along the way, we will discover the names of many plants, hoping to encounter the land turtles. After passing through the oasis, we will reach the quartz beaches. I will explain how they were formed, and you can touch them with your hands, enjoying their energy and beauty. The route is flat and very straightforward. We will conclude the itinerary in a small pine forest, enjoying a snack before saying goodbye.
