Il percorso
Departure begins at the "ballroom," where you'll leave your vehicle. This site, locally referred to as the "ballroom," holds historical significance as an ancient sandstone quarry that supplied the stones for constructing the city of Tharros and the San Giovanni di Sinis church.

Your journey unfolds along the coastline, unveiling the Phoenician-Punic necropolis. Prepare to be captivated by breathtaking views, the aromatic scents of the Mediterranean, and the surprising colors of nature, which will leave an indelible mark on your emotions.

Exploration of the Sinis Peninsula continues, including a visit to the Phoenician-Punic temple. Each step holds a new and exciting discovery.

A stop is made at the Spanish tower, offering a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Sinis. From here, you can behold the Cabras lagoon, the hills adorned with nuraghes, and the two seas—one perpetually calm and the other tempestuous—separated by the Sinis Peninsula and the entire Gulf of Oristano.

Upon returning, a brief visit to the early Christian church of San Giovanni awaits. This church is an interesting example of the simple and austere architecture embraced by the early Christians in Sardinia.

Finally, you'll make your way back to the "ballroom." Here, you can take a refreshing swim in the natural pools of the quarry and indulge in light refreshments consisting of wine, Sardinian cheese, sausage, and carasau bread.
